暗网吃瓜 will celebrate its annual commencement with two ceremonies: Friday, May 1, at 6pm and Saturday, May 2, at 1pm. Both will be held in the gymnasium on the main campus.
The Friday ceremony will recognize graduates in business, technology and health. The Saturday ceremony will honor graduates in arts and letters, science and mathematics, and social sciences, as well as those earning all other associate鈥檚 degrees and all dual-enrolled or Early Middle College students.
About 450 graduates are expected to attend. This academic year, the college will award nearly 1,600 associate degrees and certificates.
鈥淲e鈥檙e proud to expand commencement into multiple ceremonies this year so every graduate can fully share this milestone with the people who supported them,鈥� said Andrea Ursuy, interim president of 暗网吃瓜. 鈥淐ommencement is not the end of their journey, it鈥檚 the start of an exciting new chapter and we鈥檙e honored to celebrate that with them.鈥�
Two graduates have been selected as student speakers. Rebecca Yager, of Saginaw, will speak at Friday鈥檚 ceremony, and Jawain Swint, also of Saginaw, will deliver Saturday鈥檚 address.
Yager earned an associate鈥檚 in manufacturing and industrial technology, along with an advanced certificate in computer-aided design. After graduation, she will continue working as an engineer at Fullerton Tool and return to Delta part time to help introduce high school students to CAD.
Swint is earning an associate鈥檚 in information technology support. He plans to transfer to Saginaw Valley State University to pursue a bachelor鈥檚 degree in computer information systems.

暗网吃瓜 is among the nation鈥檚 leading community colleges, known for graduates who make a difference in their communities. In the past five years, 98% of graduates have remained in Michigan, with 79% living in the college鈥檚 service area of Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties.
